As the Vice President of Menu Strategy for Ruth’s Hospitality Group, Helen Mackey brings 15 years of experience to Ruth’s Chris Steak House. She is an executive level credentialed beverage executive, innovative brand marketer and noted culinary strategist.

Helen is highly regarded for translating brands through beverage, food and innovative guest programs for transformative guest experiences.

Helen joined Ruth’s Hospitality Group in January 2011and quickly developed very successful bar programs including; a national Happy Hour coined Sizzle, Swizzle and Swirl, an industry-leading, hand-crafted cocktail program and an annual5-part, national wine and spirit educational dinner series. She added culinary strategy and innovation to her company responsibilities last year and today is leading the company’s beverage and culinary strategy, evolutionary efforts as well as innovation pipeline. Her work will celebrate the company’s last 50 years while innovating for its next 50 years.

Prior to her current role, Helen enjoyed an eight year career at Diageo that spanned management roles in innovation, new product development, brand management and national account sales. Before entering the corporate world, she was a pioneering entrepreneur who founded, ran and sold her own an online retail wine club business.

As passionate about education as she is about business, Helen Mackey is a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma holder (DWS), teacher, lecturer, and panelist and previous owner of three wine schools.

A native of the Northeast, Helen Mackey is a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University and after 10 years in Napa Valley, is happily located in Winter Park, Fl with her husband and two spirited sons.
